The annual “Freedom Over Texas” event runs from 4 pm – 10 pm, with family activities, performances by Clint Black and Josh Turner, and a huge fireworks display at the Eleanor Tinsley Park on Buffalo Bayou. Of note, this is not a free event — tickets are $10 the day of the event, $8 if purchased online.

Washington, DC
There are numerous July 4 events happening over the holiday weekend, which includes the National Mall Independence Day celebration, the Capitol Fourth concert, and the fireworks display at 9:30 pm that will brighten up the sky over the Washington Monument.
